This is a mounting kit, not a doorbell. The Ring Wedge Kit for the Video Doorbell (1st Generation) sits behind the doorbell and changes its vertical angle. Use it when the mounting surface is not flat - lap siding, a brick ledge, angled casing - so the doorbell sits securely and flush; or when the front door is a step or two above the yard and the camera would otherwise look straight past a visitor's head. Three stackable brackets give 5, 10 or 15 degrees of tilt, which brings faces and the approach path back into frame and makes motion alerts noticeably more dependable. The white brackets are paintable if you want them to disappear against the trim.
