The Ring Smart Lighting Transformer is an accessory for landscape lighting, not a light itself. It replaces the dumb transformer already sitting on the side of the house and makes an existing low-voltage lighting run - path lights, well lights, uplights, deck lighting - controllable from the Ring app. That makes it a genuinely useful retrofit product for dealers: no fixtures need to be changed out, only the power supply.
It supplies up to 200 watts total and offers both 12V and 15V output, with quick-connect terminals to speed up the wiring. Once it is joined to a Ring Bridge or compatible hub over Amazon Sidewalk, the whole lighting run can be scheduled, dimmed on a timer, switched by voice through Alexa, or turned on automatically when a Ring camera, doorbell or Smart Lighting motion sensor detects movement. The black enclosure is weather resistant for outdoor mounting and rated from -4°F to 122°F; it plugs into a GFCI-protected exterior receptacle.
