The Ring Smart Lighting Pathlight is a battery-powered outdoor path light in a black finish, meant to be staked along a walkway, driveway edge, garden bed or side yard where running low-voltage cable is not worth the trouble. Because it runs on D-cell batteries, there is no trenching, no transformer and no wiring - you push the stake in, pair it in the Ring app and it works.
A built-in motion detector wakes the light when someone approaches, and brightness, auto-shutoff and sensitivity are all adjustable from the app instead of on the fixture. Connected to a Ring Bridge or compatible hub, the pathlight becomes part of a linked group: motion at your Ring doorbell or camera can light the whole path at once, schedules can hold lights on through the evening, and Alexa can switch them by voice. The IP66-rated housing is rated from -4°F to 122°F, and a set of batteries typically lasts about a year with normal nightly use.
