This is a network power accessory, not a camera. The Ring PoE Adapter (2nd Gen) is a mid-span PoE injector: plug it into a wall outlet, feed it from your router or switch, and it sends power and data down a single Ethernet run to a Ring PoE device such as the Stick Up Cam Elite or Video Doorbell Elite. It exists because most consumer routers have no PoE ports, and running a separate power cable to a hardwired camera or doorbell is often the hardest part of the job. For dealers, it keeps a clean single-cable install on sites where a PoE switch is not in the budget.
