The Ring Mailbox Sensor is a battery-powered motion sensor that mounts inside a mailbox and pings your phone the moment the door is opened — so you know when the mail actually arrived and when someone who is not the carrier has been in there. It suits homes with a curbside or end-of-driveway box that is out of sight of the front door, and it is a natural add-on for dealers already selling Ring cameras and doorbells.
The sensor detects motion over a field of view of up to 120 degrees and its sensitivity is adjustable in the Ring app. An external antenna gets the radio signal out of the metal box and back to the house. Alerts appear in the Ring app and on Alexa devices, and the sensor can trigger Ring Smart Lighting or recording on nearby Ring cameras. Smart controls require the Ring Bridge, sold separately, one per household. Runs on three AAA batteries (included), mounts with adhesive so no drill is needed, and is weather-resistant from -4°F to 122°F. Finished in white.
