The Ring Bridge (2nd Gen) is the connectivity link for Ring Smart Lighting. It extends the wireless reach between your network and Ring smart floodlights, spotlights, pathlights, step lights and bulbs so they stay responsive at the far corners of a yard, and it lets those lights work together with Ring cameras, doorbells and compatible Alexa devices — motion at the driveway camera can switch on the path lighting, for example.
Unlike the original bridge, this generation operates as an Amazon Sidewalk extender, strengthening Sidewalk coverage for properties where the signal is marginal. It plugs into a standard indoor outlet, joins the home network over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), and is set up in the Ring app. The housing measures about 4.1 x 2.7 x 1.3 in. and is finished in white. Indoor use only. This is a hub accessory — lights and cameras are sold separately.
