The Ring Alarm Retrofit Kit is a wired-to-wireless bridge for homes that already have a hardwired alarm loop from an older panel. Rather than tearing out perfectly good door and window contacts, you wire the existing zones into the retrofit module and every one of them shows up in the Ring app as an individual sensor — with alerts, event history and Home/Away rules like any modern Ring device. For dealers, it turns a decommissioned legacy system into a fast, high-margin Ring conversion.
One unit handles up to eight wired zones, and more kits can be added if the old panel served more. It runs on two included 3V lithium 123 cells, rated around five years, and links to the base station over Z-Wave at up to 250 ft. line of sight. A Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro base station is required.
