The Ring Alarm Keypad (2nd generation) is the wall control point for a Ring Alarm system — the piece everyone in the household actually touches. It sets the system to Disarmed, Home or Away, sounds entry and exit countdowns, and carries dedicated emergency buttons so a resident can call for police, fire or medical help without unlocking a phone.
It plugs into a standard outlet and carries a rechargeable battery, so an outage does not leave the system without a control panel. The supplied bracket allows a permanent wall mount by the front door or a free-standing tabletop placement in a bedroom, and it can be moved later without rewiring. Communication to the base station is over Z-Wave at up to 250 ft. line of sight. This is an add-on or replacement keypad — it requires an existing Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro Security Kit, sold separately.
