Sub Mini brings real low-frequency extension to rooms that cannot accommodate a full-size subwoofer. The cylindrical cabinet is roughly 12 inches tall and 9 inches across, so it tucks beside a media unit, behind a chair, or into a corner where a conventional rectangular sub would be conspicuous.
Two 6-inch woofers sit face to face inside the sealed enclosure and move in opposition, canceling the mechanical forces that normally translate into cabinet buzz and rattle. Each is driven by its own Class-D amplifier. The practical benefit is clean, controlled bass at moderate volume rather than the boom that small subwoofers often produce, and it means Sub Mini can sit directly on a shelf or hard floor without transmitting vibration into the structure.
Adding Sub Mini also improves the speaker it partners with: once the sub takes over the low end, the paired soundbar or speaker is relieved of bass duty and its midrange and dialogue clarity improve noticeably. Connection is wireless, with a 10/100 Ethernet port available for hardwiring, and setup takes a few minutes in the Sonos app. Sub Mini pairs with Beam, Ray, Era 100, One, and One SL.
