The Sonance Medium Round Flex Bracket is a rough-in mounting accessory for the Sonos Architectural in-ceiling line, designed to be fastened between joists before drywall goes up. It fixes the speaker location early in the build, so the finished cutout lands exactly where the plan calls for it instead of wherever the framing happens to allow.
Snap-on mesh wings extend to bridge joist bays up to 24 inches wide, and the bracket accepts Roto-Lock clamps used by 6-inch round Sonance models including the VX, VXQ and Pro Series families along with legacy Visual Performance rounds. The molded ABS body resists twisting during drywall installation, which keeps the ceiling opening square and the speaker flange seated flat once the room is finished. Because the bracket carries the speaker independently of the drywall, installers get a repeatable depth and a cleaner grille line across a whole ceiling of speakers.
This is a mounting bracket only. Speakers, back boxes and grilles are ordered separately. It is supplied as a multi-pack for whole-house and light commercial rough-ins.
