Ring rebuilt the Wired Doorbell Pro for its third generation around a Retinal 4K sensor, and the jump in detail is the whole point. Where a 1080p doorbell gives you a blurry shape at the end of the walk, 4K resolves the face, the uniform, the box label - and up to 10x Enhanced Zoom lets you push into that detail after the fact. Framing is head-to-toe, so a visitor is shown from shoes to hairline along with anything sitting on the doorstep, and adaptive low-light imaging keeps colour in the picture as evening comes on rather than flipping to flat grey infrared. 3D Motion Detection with customisable zones aims alerts at people genuinely coming to the door and ignores traffic beyond the property line. It hardwires to an existing doorbell circuit, so it rings the chime you already have and never needs charging. Shown here in Deep Silver; Ring also offers polished navy, mocha and sandstone finishes.
