The second-generation Wired Doorbell Plus sits in the middle of Ring's wired line: a real step up in image quality from the entry models, without the price of the 4K Pro. Its Retinal 2K sensor records a square 1920 x 1920 frame across 140° horizontally and vertically, which means a caller appears head to toe and the parcel by their feet stays in shot. Low-Light Sight with adaptive night vision works down to about 0.25 lux, so porch scenes keep recognisable colour instead of dropping straight to monochrome. Motion detection uses customisable zones to focus on the path and door rather than the pavement, and two-way audio lets you deal with a delivery without opening up. Wi-Fi 6 on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz keeps the higher-resolution stream steady. It runs on standard 16-24 VAC doorbell wiring, and the box includes a Chime Kit Mini, a corner kit and mounting hardware - handy for dealers doing angled-jamb installs.
