Ring Chime Pro (2nd Gen) does two jobs in one plug-in unit: it is an indoor chime for your Ring Video Doorbells and cameras, and it is a Wi-Fi extender built specifically for Ring devices. If a camera at the far corner of the property drops out, buffers, or misses events, plugging a Chime Pro into an outlet between the router and that device is usually the quickest fix - which makes it a standard add-on for dealers and installers on larger homes.
It supports dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, so it can sit on the faster band while still serving 2.4 GHz cameras. As a chime it plays selectable tones with adjustable volume, and you can assign which doorbells or cameras trigger it and when. A built-in nightlight turns on automatically, making it useful in a hallway or stairwell. Setup is done entirely in the Ring app.
