Battery Doorbell Plus is Ring's high-resolution wireless doorbell, aimed at homes with no bell wiring at the door and at renters who cannot run any. The 1536p HD+ camera shoots a near-square 150° by 150° frame, so instead of the letterbox crop older doorbells give you, a visitor appears head to toe with the doormat and any parcel on it still in shot - which is exactly the footage you want when a delivery goes missing. Colour night vision keeps evening clips usable, and two-way audio with noise cancellation makes conversation clear even on a windy porch. Motion detection uses customisable zones and Quick Replies can answer a courier automatically when you cannot. Power comes from a removable quick-release battery pack, so a spare can be swapped in while the first charges; the doorbell can also be hardwired to an 8-24 VAC transformer, or topped up with Ring's optional Solar Charger. Installation typically takes about five minutes.
