The QSC AD-MR8 is an installation accessory, not a loudspeaker. It is a flanged mud-ring (rough-in) bracket used to pre-install the QSC AcousticDesign AD-C6T-LP ceiling loudspeaker into drywall or plaster ceilings. Installed during construction, it allows the drywall to be finished flush around the opening so the ceiling speaker can be dropped in later with a clean cutout and no cutting into the finished ceiling. It is typically sold in a set of six rings.
