It is an accessory, not a standalone speaker: it provides the correctly tuned, roughly 2.5 cubic-foot sealed volume the AD-C1200 baffle assembly requires to reach its rated low-frequency output and SPL in a ceiling install. Using the matched QSC enclosure ensures predictable performance and simplifies rough-in.
