Crestron USB-EXT-2-Local
USB Extender (Transmitter)
The USB-EXT-2-Local is the transmitter component of Crestron's second-generation USB extension system, connecting directly to the host computer. Working with a USB-EXT 2 Remote receiver, it sends USB signals across standard CAT-type cabling so that a PC can drive peripherals positioned well beyond the limits of a conventional USB cable.
Compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices, the local unit anchors the source end of the link and keeps communication stable between the host and remote equipment. It is a core element for KVM-style deployments and AV systems that require the computer and its connected devices to be separated across racks, credenzas, or rooms.
