Crestron USB-EXT
USB Extender Pair (Local and Remote)
The USB-EXT is Crestron's first-generation USB extension solution, supplied as a matched local-and-remote pair. Together the two modules extend USB 1.1 and 2.0 connectivity over standard CAT-type cabling, linking a host computer at one end with peripherals located at a distance too great for a direct USB cable.
The local unit connects to the host while the remote unit serves the peripheral side, enabling keyboards, storage, and other USB devices to operate across separate racks or rooms. As a legacy product, it remains a straightforward option for maintaining and servicing established installations that were built around this extension platform.
