Crestron CNXRMIRD
Cresnet Expansion Module
The Crestron CNXRMIRD is a Cresnet remote infrared distribution module that delivers IR commands from a Crestron control system to connected devices. Placed near the equipment it controls, it drives IR emitters aimed at source components such as disc players, tuners, and displays, translating processor commands into the correct infrared signals.
The module draws power and receives control data over the Cresnet bus, so a single network run extends IR output to a remote rack or cabinet without a local processor port at that location. This makes it a practical way to reach distributed AV gear while keeping infrared control centrally programmed and coordinated within the Crestron system.
