The Biamp Voltera D 1200.2M is a networked amplified loudspeaker controller that combines 1200 watts of amplification across 2 channels with integrated loudspeaker processing. Each channel is rated at approximately 600 W and can drive 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 70V, or 100V loads, letting a single unit serve mixed low-impedance and constant-voltage zones. This M variant adds a fully programmable onboard DSP with ample processing headroom, so mixing, routing, and signal processing can run directly on the amplifier without a separate processor.
Media networking is built in, with AVB, Dante, and AES67 support for clean digital audio distribution, and the Voltera D 1200.2M is commissioned through Tesira or the VenueTune tuning workflow. The ALAMOS profile library supplies tested loudspeaker presets and protective limiting for hundreds of Biamp models, helping installers reach a tuned, reliable result quickly. Power sharing lets channels deliver added output when a zone needs it, and the compact half-rack chassis keeps rack space efficient in corporate, hospitality, education, and worship environments.
