Biamp Vocia VPSI-1
Paging Station Interface
The Vocia VPSI-1 is a paging-station interface that lets third-party microphones, push-to-talk buttons, and LED indicators operate as a slave to Vocia stations and the VI-6 input device. It provides the connection points and control logic needed to build custom or purpose-designed paging origins that behave like standard Vocia stations.
A balanced audio input with adjustable gain accepts an external microphone, while push-to-talk contacts start pages and configurable LED outputs mirror system status. The interface can also communicate over RS-232 for integration with control systems, giving designers flexibility in how paging is initiated and indicated. Connecting to its host device over standard structured cabling, the VPSI-1 is an ideal way to incorporate bespoke consoles, security desks, and specialized microphones into a Vocia paging design.
