The Vocia LSI-16 is a life safety interface that connects a fire alarm control panel to the Vocia networked voice evacuation and paging platform. It provides sixteen supervised inputs so alarm and trigger signals from the fire system can automatically initiate the correct emergency messages, tones and zone paging actions across the building.
Supervision is central to its role: monitored connections allow faults to be detected and reported, supporting the reliability that codes require of emergency communication systems. As a networked device in the decentralized Vocia architecture, the LSI-16 lets designers map alarm inputs to messages and zones in Vocia software, and its input capacity can be expanded with an interface module for larger, more complex facilities.
