Era 100 is the compact Sonos speaker built for kitchens, offices, bedrooms, and anywhere a single unit needs to fill a room convincingly. Two angled tweeters create true stereo separation from one cabinet, a departure from the single-tweeter design it replaced, and a larger midwoofer carries vocals and low frequencies. Three Class D amplifiers handle the drive, and automatic Trueplay uses the speaker's own microphones to correct the response for its position in the room.
The speaker connects over WiFi 6 for synchronized multi-room playback, adds Bluetooth 5.3 for direct phone streaming, and supports Apple AirPlay 2. A USB-C port accepts the Sonos Line-In Adapter for a turntable or the Combo Adapter when a wired Ethernet run and line-in are both needed. Top-panel touch controls include a capacitive volume slider, and a physical switch disconnects the microphone array for privacy. Sonos Voice Control and Amazon Alexa are both available. The housing is humidity resistant and made with recycled plastics, and two units can be grouped as a stereo pair or used as rear surrounds. This listing is the matte black finish.
