The QSC SFP-SM-1G is a 1 Gigabit single-mode fiber SFP (small form-factor pluggable) transceiver module for Q-SYS networked audio and control systems. It installs into an SFP cage on compatible Q-SYS Cores, network switches and peripherals to establish an optical fiber link. The single-mode variant is intended for long-reach fiber runs - for example between buildings on a campus - where distances exceed what copper or multimode fiber can support, while also providing electrical isolation and immunity to electromagnetic interference.
