The new backboxes have been designed for multi-purpose use and represent a solution that cuts across regional boundaries to ensure a common solution for all territories. Furthermore, if an end-user has installed a Crestron keypad and wishes to upgrade to the latest Crestron touch screen, the switch is effortless with the new backboxes as hardly any extra work is required.
The two new models – the BBI-UNIV-A and BBI-UNIV-B – come in two sizes to work across a wide selection of the Crestron range and the intelligent housing design ensures a stable and secure fixing.
Installation requires a suitable aperture/opening in the wall and once the cables have been fed through with the conduit, the housing is then fastened into the wall. Once the housing is in place, the equipment (touch screen, Excite speaker, iPad docking station etc) simply clamps to it or can be secured with screws into the mineral fibreboard.
